AR15 Flat top Upper 16" midlength For Sale
SOLD Want to sell an AR15 flat top upper with Stainless Steel barrel, flash hider, bayonette lug, chrome bolt and forged charge handle. Upper is LMT (Lewis Machine and Tool). Barrel is a Wilson Match grade with 1 to 8 twist and chambered for 5.56 NATO. This upper has never been fired and I am the original owner.
I will sell the complete upper including chrome bolt and forged charge handle for $450.00 shipped. If you want just the upper minus the bolt and charge handle I'll do $350.00 shipped. No FFL required I can ship right to you. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...x/DSCF1381.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...x/DSCF1380.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...x/DSCF1379.jpg |
Re: AR15 Flat top Upper 16" midlength For Sale
Has the headspacing been checked?

Re: AR15 Flat top Upper 16" midlength For Sale
I may have caused some confusion by listing this with a Wilson barrel. This upper was assembled by LMT and has been checked for proper tolerances. Most AR15 manufacturers use mostly Wilson, Shaw or Mike Rock barrel blanks. This barrel is identical to My Rock River barrel that has a Wilson barrel.
Hope this helps. |

If it is an LMT built upper, you can bet it's been headspaced...looks like a good deal for a top-quality complete (less rear sight)upper, folks.

I wish I could, but the "evil bayonet lug and flash hider" prevents me

Re: AR15 Flat top Upper 16" midlength For Sale
you have to be experienced for assembly and calibration of this?
im an engineer by trade so i think not, but like to be cautious when it comes to a fire arm! And are these parts easily obtained without FFL? |

It is possible to get a plain casting of a lower receiver that is NOT FFL required (check www.dsarms.com). However these castings must be milled / drilled. For a few more bucks you can get an "80%" casting that only needs drilling -- again, no FFL because there is no serial number. HOWEVER... homebuilt guns cannot transfer ownership because of the lack of a serial number. You can download lower receiver assembly instructions at www.ar15.com. I did this and was able to assemble my AR-15 kit in just 30 minutes. |
